K, just transferred some photos taken recently to my lappy....

This were to make carrot culture for callus ... see how white the surface of the carrot are...they have been soak in alcohol and then 20% Clorox(which smells like swimming pool)
And thus their cell is died, so need to cut away the dead cell
Until it is really orangy

End product, see that stack of carrot in petri dish there...soon, roots will start growing, and maybe some contamination...this is actually redo...cause the whole class culture get contaminated the other time!
And my turn to do the prac
Mission, infect the Tabasco plant with agrobacterium
By cutting them and suspend them in the medium with agrobacterium...
This is how bored my class can be while waiting the the others to finish the prac

Been a while since i last saw the plant in the greenhouse...have lecture after common test so went to the greenhouse to harvest the kang kong...

the plant were so overgrowth until it grow and grow back twisting itself...
see the disgusting pointed thingy...it is actually adventitious roots
Finally, what we harvest, can be eaten de...the teacher ask the whole class eat the leaf!
